I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Anxiety Disorders.
On average, a person with OCD waits over 11 years before they seek treatment. If you have never been in therapy before, or if you have tried other treatment methods, you may feel like nothing works. However, I have witnessed the successful treatment of many individuals. I know that you can overcome your anxiety.
In the therapy room (or virtual therapy space) I draw on my training at the UCLA OCD Intensive Outpatient Program. There, I received extensive training in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety Disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I furthered my experience and training at the California OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center. Additionally, I have certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
I am a lifelong learner. I geek out at conferences, read books, and listen to podcasts on OCD and Anxiety Disorders during my free time. This feeds my mind, and in turn, I digest all this information in ways to help my clients move on in life.
My aim is to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts with me. I strive to be culturally competent, and I utilize my own multicultural background as a guide toward creating a sensitive practice. I am a firm believer in meeting my clients where they are while helping them to motivate for change.
A bit more about me: I was born and raised in Southern California. While my clients are from all over the state of California, my practice is located in the South Bay-LA area (close to Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Torrance, and Manhattan Beach). When I am not developing my craft, I am either spending time with family, or I am practicing self-care at the beach or in the mountains.
